FEB Unud Master of Accounting Program Hosts Public Lecture on "Sustainability Management Accounting and Finance"
Denpasar, Monday, May 18, 2026 – The Master of Accounting Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Udayana University (FEB Unud), successfully hosted a Guest Lecture titled "Sustainability Management Accounting and Finance." Centered around the grand theme “Sustainability and Reporting,” the event was conducted virtually via the Zoom Meeting platform. The lecture aimed to deepen students' understanding of integrating environmental issues into modern management and financial strategies.
During the presentation, it was emphasized that climate change and carbon emissions have become real-world challenges for the global business environment. Participants were guided to understand how Sustainability Management Strategies, or Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) frameworks, serve as crucial guidelines for corporate operations. This approach ensures that economic growth remains aligned with the principles of environmental preservation and sustainable social welfare.
The session also dissected the core structure of Sustainability Report Contents, which encompasses four primary pillars: economic, environmental, social, and governance. Through transparent reporting, companies can build robust accountability and create long-term value for stakeholders. Furthermore, projections of global warming impacts were presented to the participants to trigger immediate awareness and ignite early concrete actions.
This initiative is expected to equip students with relevant insights and practical experiences aligned with the evolution of the modern accounting profession. By understanding the urgency of sustainability reporting, FEB Unud graduates are envisioned to become pioneers in championing ethical and eco-friendly business practices. The public lecture concluded with the hope that the knowledge gained would be applied as a tangible contribution toward a greener future for the planet.
